The Role of Colors in Vastu

The west direction is associated with Saturn, but since black is the color of Saturn, it is not recommended to paint this direction black as it absorbs too much light. Instead, white, green, and yellow are recommended, as they are the colors of Saturn’s friends, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter.
The northwest direction is associated with the moon and its colors are white and off-white. The center is considered the channeliser of each direction, so it is important to reflect as much natural light as possible, making white the preferred color.
